The girl’s team on Sunday had their first taste of professional women football as they played an exhibition match against premier league side Red Arrows.

It was a wonderful experience and great exposure for the girls to face off against a professional women footballing side such as Red Arrows.

Despite the score line that ended in LYFA being beaten by 5 goals to 0, the encounter was more about the players getting a feel of professional football and being scouted by the Red Arrows side.

3 of our players impressed the premier league side so much that inquiries were made about them. Two of our defenders and one striker caught the attention of the coach and had inquiries made about them.

This opens up so many doors for the young women footballers in Livingstone as the academy is looking at becoming a regular source of footballers for major teams. This serves the youths with dreams of playing for premier league teams with a huge opportunity.
