LYFA 2 – 0 Flying Eagles
Livingstone Youth took the fight to Flying Eagles in the opening half with crisp passing football and strong physical commitment. A swift interchange between Kasaila, Davis and Given set-up Kasaila with an early shot to test the opponents keeper. A goal came in the 20th minute mark with Kasaila scoring a penalty to make it 1-0. With Mulwani fans roaring then on, the LYFA kept up the pressure following their opener, though the Eagles were an inch of an equaliser at the other side.
Having recently suffered from bad form and a couple of injuries, LYFA were keen to get things back on track and maintain their seamless previous form
Kasaila was in fighting form throughout. With some great movement and fast one-twos, it was only a matter of time before another goal. The second goal finally came in the 74th minute with Cletus picking the ball up form Given and driving forward to hit a low long range effort past the goal keeper to make it 2-0.
Philips side were able to hold on for an incredible win, he added, “The boys were really looking sharp today, we have been really working on our passing game recently which has given us more composure whilst still keeping the pressure on”.
