LYFA Senior Boys A 0 – 1 Musanza Police FC
It was disappointing for the Senior Boys A Team, who suffered their first lost 0-1 at home against Musanza Police FC. The opponents gave a good account of themselves in the opening 45 minutes at the grounds of Mulwani School, as both sides had chances to break the deadlock.
LYFA started brightly with Davis ‘s long range effort from a free kick which was tipped away by the goalkeeper in the eight minute. Soon after an effort from Cletuse saw the wrong side of the post as he was charged down. Similarly, in the 24th minute a cross from Laban was missed by an over eager Davis who was struggling to keep the ball down.
However the visitors were strong in the second half and for much of it camped in the LYFA half before finally breaking through with a goal that arrived in the 85th minute.
The loss puts the Young Boys down into 3rd position in the FAZ Southern Division 2 league. The boys will hope to bounce back when they travel to Chisubo this Sunday.
